Sheila Stewart is an award winning media conglomerate whose career as a Radio, TV and Print Media Personality spans over 20 years. She is the News/Community Affairs Director for Radio One DC Stations (93.9) WKYS-FM; (102.3) WMMJ-FM; (104.1) WPRS-FM; (1450) WOL-AM; WYCB-AM and The Syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show heard in (40) U-S cities. She has also worked as Syndication One's National News Anchor on The The Rev. AL Sharpton Show; The Warren Ballentine Show; The Dr. Michael Eris Dyson Show; American Urban Radio Networks & Sheridan Broadcasting Networks. Sheila has also worked as Morning Reporter/Anchor for CBS Affiliate WBTV News Channel 3 and has made guest appearances on FOX-News; ABC; and NBC News.
Stewart received a BA Degree in Broadcast journalism from Benedict College and has worked as an adjunct Professor of Journalism at several colleges including Johnson C. Smith University and The Chatty School of Communications in Charlotte, NC. More than 30 of her students are currently working in Radio/TV& Print media outlets all over the U-S.
Stewart devotes considerable time working with youth and organizations. She has mentored more than 20 at-risk girls and helped raised more than a million dollars for charities such as The Susan Komen Race For The Cure, The United Negro College Fund, National Congress of Black Women and a host of others.
Stewart is also an accomplished writer and author. She wrote and published her first book "Faith and The 3 P's Overcoming Obstacles With Prayer, Persistence and Positive Thinking that received enthusiastic response and book signings.
Stewart has been honored by numerous organizations for community service work including the prestigious coveted "Crystal Award For Outstanding Community Service" by The National Association of Broadcasters and recipient of the National Community Service Award by the Federal Bureau of Investigations for raising $40,000 in one day for a missing 9 year old girl.
A proud member of the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Sheila is happily married to Life Coach & Pastor Bill Russell where he serves as an Associate at Carolina Missionary Baptist Church to Senior Pastor Anthony & First Lady Cynthia Moore in Fort Washington, MD
